They are now about ' miles east of town, and are averaging 80 bonds a day. The poles are all erect 1 from Garden Home to Hillsboro, but the over bead wiring has not been finished. This is going on rapidly, however. The new sub-station at this place is about ready for business. The ma chinery is being adjusted, and a current has been received from Portland lor several days past, which is used to smooth the ma chinery, and get it in working or der. Power will be transmitted over an aluminum cable, which will have a carrying capacity of 3,1500 volte. Two carloads of build ing material have been received here this week, and unloadid io front of tbe Mrs A. C. Brown prop erty on Washington street, between First and Second. It is understood that the site for the new depot has been agreed upon, and that it will not be very far from the place where the lumber waa unloaded. Itis also rumored that work will begin on the new etructure within a few days. It is thought by tbe Electric people that the line will he finished and ready for traffic by September 30. The ceremony was performed by lr. I). A. Waters, of Calvary M. K. church of Portland. Preceding the entrance of the bridal party, "Traumeret" was charmingly rendered by Miss Arah Hoyt, with violin obligato by Harry Devereaux. The bridal party entered to the strains of the I.oheiignu wedding march, plaved by Miss Ksther lcvereaux, sister of the groom. The parlors were decorated in white and green; the dining room and recep tion hall in pink. The wedding presents were numerous and beautiful, consisting of silver, cut glass, hand-painted China, pictures and linen. A unHUie present was a Mexicnn sarapa in artistic design. After the ceremony a duinty luncheon was served. Both are well and favorably known with a host of friends to wish them a long and happy life.
