Otto Schneider, travelling sales
man for a Portland firm, was in
Hilluboro Tuesday, on his way to
McMinnville, Sheridan and Wills
mina, via Grand Ronde Agency, to
Tillamook Mr. Schneider rode a
150-pound motor cycle, and is tak
ing his annual vacation. He rode
from Portland to Hillsboro in one
hour and 20 minutes, and says bis

A law suit took place in town
Monday, before Juetioe Barnee, be
tween John Yost and Andiew Kru
ger Yost eutd Kruger for the
value of a horse, which died, and
which Kruger sold to Yost, A jury
c insisting of Peter Boscow, Frank
Doughty. John B eker, T. M. Kerr
and Jos. Downs, heard the evidence
and rendered a verdict in favor of
the defendant. The amount suid
for was $44 Yost was taxed with
the costs of the suit, which will
amount to about $50.
