Many cattle all over tbe United
States annually are poisoned by
the deadly larkspur. A Colorado
man recently experimented by
reeding tbe leaves to a calf, with
oat any bad results. Later be
gave it the roots of tbe larkspur,
and the animal soon. died. This
justifies tbe belief that tbe poison
oos matter is contained in tbe
roots and not the leaves.
