the aobdivieion of the big farm
near Hiltebore will not only in
crease the population of the town,
but will alto greatly stimulate it

MARY BUTTON
Mr. Mary Button, who died at
Hillside, July 17, waa an Oregon
pioneer oi 1304. Mr. Mutton was
born in Illinois, and moved to
Iowa when quit young. She was
married to June flatton in 1847.
Ia 1864 the Buttons crowed the
plains by ox tem and settled in
Baker City. Ten children were
born to them, six of whom are tir
ing, aa follows: Mrs. Thomas,
Hillside, Ore.; Samuel Button,
Main Powder; Mrs. Ellen Kelley,
Baker City George Button, Irrin:
Zslla Kelley, Baker City; Mrs. Do
ra Harbin, LeoU, Ore.
The death of Mrs. Button was
due to a fall sustained July 5.
