A FINE CHEESE COUNTY
Fred Rchombere, of Ibis city, who
wai the pioneer cheeee maker of
Tillamook county, and who is a
recognized authority on dairying,
ii firm in bis belief that Washing
ton county can produce better
cbeeee than any of the coast ooun-
tiea. He admit that Tillamook
now has that reputation, and while
be would not dieparage Tillamook
cheeae, he says this county has an
advantage over tbe coast counties,
n that dry feed is cheaper here than
on the coast, where bun and shorts
are not much fed for the above rea
son. Again, we can raise better
vetches and our clover hay is also
better. On the coast the velvet
gnu is poor feed compared with
Washington county bay. lncbeeae
making, it is the quality of milk
that counts, the world over, and it
is on the quality of the milk that
Mr. Schomberg bases bis claim
that Washington county can pro
duce better cdeese than any coast
oounty in the stale. All we need
is the factory, and toe reputation
will assert itself.

await! tax last night; so Forest

uable estate of Mrs. Rogers.

be failure of Governor Chamber

As those days were not known ju

is found in the Oregon statutes, in

the next day at 9 o'clock; and if no

Y ord was received from Judge

where there was a stipulation be
