Paul Fitch, the nine-year-old son of Justice of the Peace Fitch, of Cornelius, was struck by the west bound train, Monday morning, and thrown upon the cement sidewalk near by, on his head, sustaining se vere bruises and a partial fracture of the skull. The boy met with hiB accident while attempting to cross in front of the approaching train, but was not quick enough to avoid it.
