ROAD FOND IS r v Heavy Drain on Fund Road Improvement by OVEK TfJIKTY-ONE THOUSAND PAID Wirrsnt Will Draw Interest at Per Cent Six Warrants on the County road fund are being indorsed, after registra tion by the County Treasurer as "not paid for want of funds." They will draw G per cent, interest un til paid. Ths reason is that the county road fund is exhausted. The levy for both road funds for this year was one and three quar ter centB, or 11.75 per hundred. The gross amount of taxable prop erty upon which this levy was rasde, was $12,040,573, and each of ths two road funds received $10, 500, or a total of 1 2 1,000. The balance of County road fund, left over from the year previous, on January 1, 1!X)7, was $7,473.08. Tbs amount of money diverted from the general fund to the coco ty road fund, einca January 1st, wss $1C,500, making a total of county road fund expended thus far, this year, $31,473 08. This amount has nothiog to do with the district road fund. The unpaid warrants will not be redeemed un til after the next tax collecting time, which will be in the Spring of 11)08.
