Walter Reynolds, the Cedar Mill
boy, who was arrested for compli
city with the negro, Marshal Rob
inson, in horse stealing, has been
released by order of the Duputy
Prosecuting Attorney, for the rea
son, as Mr. Wall lelieves that the
boy was not connected with the
case. Robinson, the negro, seemed
anxious to fasten the responsibility
upon the white boy, but Sheriff
Connell now thinks trj colored
man has been lying about the mat
ter. Young Reynolds is out on his
own reconizince, and may be call
ed as a witness in the case, when
it comes to trial. Sheriff Connell
says thare is everything to show
that Reynolds was not connected
with the case. The negro is said
to he an "alian" man, and it is ex
tremely doubtful whether his name
ii Robinson, as he asserts.
