NOW FOR THE STREET FAIR
About thirty people attended the
meeting iu the city hall last eve
ning, for the purpose of organizing
for the street fair and livestock
show to be held here the latter part
of September. Mayor Denois was
present and called the meeting to
order. Postmaster B. P. Cornelius
made an enthusiastic address upon
the merits of the fair, ar.d eaid it
was time for Hillsboro to move up
and show the world what this pec
tion can do. Upon motion of Mr.
Cornelius tbe chair appointed a
committee to have full power to go
ahead, name dates, and appoint
sub committees. The following
will act as the committee: B. P,
Cornelius, L. A. Long, J. W. Con
nell, G. A. Patterson, R. II. Greer
and John Dennis, the latter being
chairman.
The committee meets tonight to
map out a campaign.
