Joeet.b ll. McPherson, aged 47
years, died at Newport, Auguft 4,!
UK)7. Mr. McPherson has had;
heart trouble for some time, and j
went to Newport for the benefit of
his health. He improved for a few j
days, and then died suddenly. Mr j
McPherson leaves a widow, a
daughter, and two sons. He has
been engaged in hap raiting for a
few years, this side of Forest urove,
and at one time was Assessor Wil
cox' field deputy io that section.
The McPherson family came to
Forest Grove from Kansas, about
eight years ego.
He was last at the county seat
just before July 4, and at that time
knew that he might be called at
any time. He was a man of ex
emplary habits, and had a host of
friends in West Washington Coun
ty. The family has the sincere
pympathy of a large circle of
friends. The remains were brought
back for burial, Monday.
