HILL3B0R0 ARGUS, JUNE 6. 1907 From prtMDt rcportt it U t ttfe Mtimate to My that then will b 3.000,000 worth of timber on the WMhington county tax roll, this tearon nd thil will mean prac tically one tilth of the entire valuation of the county. Taxpay er! will have a difficult time to reaeon ont, for awhile, what thit encrmoae aeeeeement will mean to them. For instance, it will beje membered - that thit it an added valuation - never before put on the roll. Therefore, be who nu in the pact, not holding timber, paid teven dollars tax, will now be re lieved of one dollar of taxation. Tbit will mean big money for tax payer on other than timber lands. Where a man't taxes run into the hundreds it means several dollars. As a roatUr of fact, from preeent indications, the timber valuation will exceed three million dollars, but this is given in order to be ab solutely on the safe aide. The total assessment is not likely to reach over IIS.000,000, and pos sibly will be a million lees.
