Mr. Wagoer was born in Hmoke-
town, Pa., in 1824, and in 1S49, on
June 21, he waa married to Miss
Caroline Uiltner, who waa born at
Turbotville, Pa., in 18:12.
Mr. and Mre. Wagner came to
Oregon in lh6G,'and located at St
Helens, where tbey lived until
1872; then came to Forest drove,
where they have reaided ever einoe

making most of ber time here,
having made with ber bands over

The Ioveatment Co., of Portland,
versus Datlef Schermer, of near
Tigardviiie, was beard before Judge
Rood and a jury Monday.
Schermer bad been on the place for
some time and tbe company claim
ed be remained on over the time of
bis rights, and they aaked for $500
damages alleged to have been
caused by his stock running on the
place while it was wet and after he
had been notified to leave the
premise. He was finally ejected
and suit waa inetituted. The com
pany aleo sued for $1.50 rental.
