NOTICE The Arptis office is BitnaUd between the Wilke brick and the photograph gallery, on Swond Street, north of Main, east of the Court House. M ORKtNG THK rt Bt.IC. The Washington, D. C. despatches of Mi nday state that Cleveland could get all the money he wants for campaign expenses should he get the nomination for the presi dency on the democratic ticket. It is to be noted that all this anxiety over Cleveland is confined to either republican papers or alleged demo ratie papers which supported Mr. McKinley both for lSOti and 1900. As a matter of fact, the Wall street interests of today are joined in mutual interest with the o hr eap- ' i talis tic interests who would be benefitted or injured by a presi deniial eleciion benefitted if al lowed to have their own sweet will, or injur, d if compelled to regard the anti-trust laws of the country Of course, with a republican ad ministration, the trusts would not be injured; and with a Cleveland for piesident they would be per- mittevl to have their own sweet will. With Cleveland on the dem ocratic ticket they would not have to stand a several million '"tup" to beat a radical democrat of the B-yan sentimnt; and, with Cleveland up for e'ection they could the more r. adily control Riosevt It bo h before and after his election. Real reformers, however, fail to where Mr. Roosevelt has taken more than a proprietary in terest in the trusts and they ask for pro f of a single trust attack, on the part of his Attorney CeneraK Mr. Knox, except that furnished by Van Zant in the Minnesota merger case," where the mergers are sti 1 dok busings at th old stand. K1 democrats over the country are not asking f t Cleveland's nom ination, and, if nominated, the " populist party will revive its for tunes. Millions of Southern and Western democrats will bolt their party for good if the re organizers , get control.
