Dillery, aged 58 years, and for some years a sawmill man of Reedville, died near Beaverton, October 12, and his remains were buried at the Greenwood cemetery, roriiana, luesuay. Dillery was well known in central Washington county, and he will be remembered as having been a party to a law suit over a team of horses; the case going to the supreme court and back two times, Dillery finally los ing the case. lie was formerly a sawmill roan in the days of lumber glory in that state. Victor Emmel, of Scbolls, gave a review of the ath letic work and its relation to the institution. Fred Vrootnan was heartily encored in the rendition of a solo, -The Red, Red Rose." Mr. Barrett, the speaker of the day, is a gradjate of Pacific University, '79, and still has a warm feeling for the University. The new mill will manufacture rough and dressed lumber and will have the latest improved machinery, gang edgers, and all that goes to make a modern institution.
