In 19K. She la a member of, the
Kappa Alpha Theta eorority and
during- her years in college took part
In many campus activities. Miss
fenton was alumni secretary for
four years at the University of Ore
gon following her graduation. At
present aha is acting as the private
secretary to the dean of the college
of commerce at the University of
California.
Mr. darkens the son of Mrs. L. Z.
Clarke of Berkeley. Cal., formerly of
Portland. He has itiiny friends jere.
Where- he lived for a number of
years and graduated from the Port
land academy. He Is a member of
the Kappa Sigma fraternity and
several honor societies. He also
graduated from the Univers'ty of
Oregon, where he distinguiahed him
self as being one of Oretcn's great
est football and baseball atars. Dur
ing the war he served In Italy and
was decorated with the Cross of
Savoie. which carries with it the
title of Cavalier of the Crown of
Italy.
He Is a member of the Olympic
club in San Francisco, where he is
connected with , the McCormlck
Steamship line.

honor of Mrs. Roland McLeod Miller
(Miss Ensel Barker) of Eugene, a
recent bride. Their wedding will
be an event of the fall in Portland.

ters was married to Leonard Mel
ville Floan of Seattle at the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Trimble Peters, in Irvington. Rev.
Oswald W. Taylor read the services.
The wedding was a simple affair,
only relatives being present, ThJ
bride wore a beautiful wedd'ng
town of white satin over white lace
and carried a shower bouquet of
orchids and lilies of the valley. Mrs.
Edwin Binney Jr.. the sister of Hie
bilde. was her matron of honor.
She wore an attractive gown of
f.ame-colored lace and a corsage of
midsummer flowers. A wedding
breakfast followed the ceremony.

lumbia Mr. and Mrs. Floan will re
s'de at 1223 Terry avenue, Seattle.
Mrs. Floan is a popular Portland
society girl and since the announce
ment of her engagement has been
the motif for many smart affairs.
