A large crew of men fought the fire all night, but. according to reports from Carlisle this morning, it is well under con trol. A fire which started on the works of the Stearns Logging company de stroyed a small mill owned by Z. A. Toye and several carloads of Jap anese squares which had been cut for the Japanese trade. While the damage at the Kuhn works was negligible, the damage at Carlisle amounts to about $10,000. FORESTERS CLOSE DEALS 6,000,000 Feet of Timber Sold to Oregon Lumbermen. EUGENE, Or., June 17.
