New Cars, New Prices to Be 'Centers of Interest. , FLOOR PLAN EXPLAINED List of Companies - Participating and Nature of Their Dis plays Is Given. WILL FEATURE SHOW SSS - . m ' -m00m1 4 mil . . ' ' Portland automobile dealers, at the I 13th annual automobile show which opens at the municipal auditorium to morrow, will present the most inter esting displays in the history of the industry here. Practically every dis play will contain cars of brand-new model and price, cars of the very lat est design and equipped in the latest and most up-to-date manner. The new models, many of which have been rushed here from the east specially for the show, together with the new prices which have been an nounced by many lines since January 1, will make the show of unusual interest. Prices as announced at show time are expected to rule throughout the year, at least with out, any further reductions. Following is a brief description of I each display, given according; to lo cations, taking first the main floor and then the lower floor. Main floor In the arrangement of displays the main floor has been divided as fol lows: , North ballroom, central por tion, south ballroom and stage. The central section is divided into north and south display sections by a main aisle running down the center. North ballroom This section will be occupied by the Northwest Auto company and the Oldsmoblle Company of Oregon. The former firm will have an attractive display, showing their full line of Marmon, Cole, Reo and Dort cars. rne uicismoblie company will have a complete line of Oldsmobiles to show, emphasizing particularly the new light eight and the four. North section of the main audi This section will be occupied by the associated Ford dealers. Auto motive ' Sales company, Portland Motor Car company and the Manley Auto company. The associated Ford dealers will show a full line of "uni versal" cars, with a number of Jobs specially beautified and equipped for the occasion. The Automotive Sales company will be on hand with a full line of Stephens cars, including the handsome closed models brought out by the company late last fall. The Portland Motor Car company will show both upstairs and downstairs. Their feature upstairs will be the Packard car, and the showing of this will include several models of both the single six and the twin six. The Hupmobile will be the center of at traction at the Manley Auto company booth, and a full line of these popu lar cars, all of the late models brought out last fall will be shown. South ' section of the main audi torium This section will be occupied by the W. R. DeLay Motor company, Mitchell, Lewis & Staver, A. C. Stevens and the Bralv Auto comnanv. The W. R. DeLay "booth promises to be one of the interesting ones at the show, due to the fact that the new Velie will be shown there for the first time in Portland. One of these cars, just now being produced by the factory, has been rushed here by express for the purpose of Bhowlng at that time. The company will also have a full line of Peerless cars. New cars will also be the feature of the Mitchell, Lewis & Staver company display, where the new Mitchell and the new Jordan will be receiving visitors. While the Jor dan has been out for a couple of months, it has a number of brand- flAW fflnturAa thnf a r, jtnmma nri in v I much interest. The new Mitchell was I received in Portland several weeks ! ago, but has not been widely adver ; tlsed by the company, pending the show, and will be really introduced ., at this time. The Stevens display will . feature the Haynes car, where the new Haynes light six, one of the popular models brought out during , 1921, and the powerful new Haynes ' big six will be shown. In the Braly Auto company booth Franklin cars "Will hold sway. Franklin has been - producing some unusually attractive : closed jobs recently and these will . be among the Braly company fea tures. South ballroom This section will be occupied en . trrely by the Covey Motor Car com pany, on the west, and the C. L. Bobs Automobile company on the east. The - Covey display will be one of the most complete and interesting at the show. In that it will comprise Mr. Covey's , new line of four cars. Included on th floor will be the Oakland, which Mr. Covey has Just contracted to handle. Several of these cars have been rushed to Portland for the show, and the brand-new Oakland models will be shown here for the second '. time in the United States, the first time having been at the recent New York show. The new Cadillac, new Maxwell and Chalmers will vie with the Oakland for Interest at the Covey booths. The C. L. Boss company will feature the Hudson and Essex, and will have a complete line of both cars. Particular attention will be given " the new Essex coach which was re cently Introduced to Portland and re ceived with great interest. ' Stage This section will be occupied by "the Fields Motor Car company and the Willys-Overland Pacific com pany. The displays of the Manley ; Auto company and A. C. Stevens will extend into the stage also. The Fields Motor Car company will show the new Chevrolet cars, both the lit tle "490," which has been much Im proved in mechanical construction during the past year, and the "FB" model. The Willys-Overland Pacific company promises to show some of the handsomest special Jobs of the show. A number of Overland and , Willys-Knight cars have been par ticularly "dolled up" for the big event and promise to make a striking ap pearance. A full line of both carl will be shown. Lower floor This floor has been divided as fol lows in apportioning space: Extreme north wing, north central section, central section, south central section and extreme south wing. Cara shown in the. different, sections are: Extreme north wing This portion will be occupied en tirely by the Studebaker company. New Studebaker cars 'have been in troduced during the past several weeks and are to be shown in Port land for the first time this week. The display will include all lines and models. Central section Cook and Gill and the Apperson Motor Car company will occupy this portion. Cook and Gill have prom ised a handsome display of the Paige, Including both the big six and the little six. The new little Paige or Jewett, as It will be known, will not reach here in time for shoaling at the auditorium. Several handsome cars, including a number of unusual closed Jobs are promised by the Ap person company, which will display a complete line of Apperson cars. South central section This will be occupied jointly by the Portland Motor Caff company and the wsual ilsplay of Buiclc cars, laolud- Northwest Oakland company. The former will make its main Nash show ing on this floor, showing the Pack ard mainly on the upper floor. A complete line of the popular Nash cars will be displayed, with the new Nash four and- the Nash six equally stressed. The Oakland booth will be in charge of the Northwest Oakland company and will give opportunity for further display of., these hand some and brand-new cars, , v Extreme south wingr This section will be occupied by the new Dodge Brothers organisation and the Oregon Lexington company. The Dodge display will -give the new firm of Braley. Graham and Chllds an op portunity to make its bow to the pub lic. This Is Portland's newest auto mobile establishment, having begun its Dodge dealership last week. A complete lino of Dodge Brothers cars, including the handsome closed models brought out this winter, will be on hand. The Lexington display will feature the brand-new Lexington "Ultimate" model. This car has been rushed west specially for the show and promises to attract much atten tion. Other models of the car will also be shown. The automotive equipment display on the balcony floor promises to be unusually complete this year, and will undoubtedly be one of the inter esting features.
