Programme Is Given. Six ble- days of automobile display. with entertainment features of all kinds are promised for the oomlng week, according to the programme which has been arranged. This pro gramma may bs Informally given as follows: Monday This will be the opening day of the show, and as such will command more than usual lateresu Rules have been announced which make It compulsory on all dealers to have their displays completed befors the show opens Monday morning and it is declared that the big event will be just as finished and as ready for visitors when It opens tomorrow as when It closes Saturday. Monday eve ning the automobile dealers of me city will be the hosts at an Informal reception to which the public 's In vited and to which a largs number of Invitations accompanied by compli-. mentary admission tickets havs been sent out by the dealers. Monday will also be trade day, and members of the automobile industry in all lines In ths eltv will be on hand in force. A spe cial feature -for the school children has been announced for Monday after noon In the way of a reduced admis sion. Throughout the afternoon and until 6 P. M. admission for ths young sters will be but 10 cents. . Tuesday The old-timers will hold sway on Tuesday, and a number of features, including a parade of old- time f utomobiles at noon ana a Ban quet for old-timers at night, are an nounced. The old-timers' club Is a . national organization of automobile men,- composed of those who have been in the business five years or more and have held dealer contracts. Wednesday will be State day, and particular weloome will be given vis itors from throughout the state. Au tomobile men from practically every section will be here on that day and special plans for them, including a banquet at o clock that evening ai the Benson hotel, at which the Port land dealers will be hosts, are being made. In the morning a state-wide, session of automobile men will be held at the Portland Press club room at which It Is proposed to form a nsw stale assooiatlon, embracing all chases of the automotive industry. Thursday The feature of Thursday will be society night In the evening. Society night at the Portland show has always been a popular event, and this year's programme is expected to be the equal of past events. Special entertainment and music la planned. Friday This will be Music day at I the show and throughout the after noon and evening a continuous pro gramme or muslo will be rendered. To this end a number of musical organ izations have been secured to give concerts and local musicians secured for solos, both instrumental and vocal. These musical numbers will be in ad dition to the regular programme of the Stoudennveyer band, which has been designated as official show band, and will glvs musical number every afternoon and evening of show week. Saturday This day will see the show draw to a close. While definite arrangements have not been concluded for additional features on tms cay, the dealers plan to make It one of the big- days of the week, and will "let go" Saturday night for a Dig time, possi bly rolling ths cars aside In the ve iling ror a aance. Entertainment Is Feature. From the above, which at best tells I cnly a part of the story and tells that part briefly, It may be seen that ths how this year will be the most en tertaining and Instructive In the his tory of the automobile business in Portland. Kvery hour of the after noon and evening something will be doing at ths auditorium, and It Is ex pected that motor fans will not be satisfied with one visit to the show, but will come back everj? day of the week to enjoy the additional attrac tions.
