During the holidays the society provided a present for .each one of the 66 women at Multno mah farm and gave gifts to the 60 men and 40 women at St. Joseph's Home for the Aged. The engagement of Miss Pauline Mc Clintoch of Weed, Cal., to Verne Bain of Tillamook was announced at a recent informal party given - by the Delta Phi sorority, of which the former Is a member. Miss McClln toctv is a junior In the Willamette college of liberal arts and is a mem ber of the Phllodosian literary lociety. jur. Bain is a Junior in the university. He has been a member of the Willamette football team for two years and is at present associate editor of the college paper, as well as president of the Phllodorlan literary society. He is manager of the Sigma Tau fraternity. Mrs. Felix Bloch and her niece, Miss Kahn, will leave Tuesday for Cali fornia. They will be met by Mr. and Mrs. M. Kahn of Dallas, Tex., and pass the winter in southern California, The Portland-Willamette Alumni club had its annual holiday party at the home of Misses Charlotte and Elizabeth Tebben Friday night. The club members acted as hosts to pres ent Willamette students who have been spending the holidays In Port land. The Christma spirit pervaded throughout, the rooms being decor ated with seasonal colors, holly and poinsettas. A large Christmas tree dded to the general enjoyment dur ing the course of the evening, while the guests participated in various itviv trames. At a late hour refresh ments were served and each guest received tiny Santa Claus favors.
