Dainty little pink bordered invita tions issued about a week ago an nounced to several attractive little children that .Miss Jean Allegrani would entertain at a party May 14 from 3 to 5. All week there was much excitement and anticipation and when the all-important hour arrived yesterday it found an assemblage of lovely children at the Allegrani home, who were welcomed by dainty Jean and her pretty mamma. The little hostess wore a frock of crisp organdy. The party was a pink and white fairyland. Pink carnations adorned the rooms and ferns were mingled with the fragrant blossoms. In the dining room the table was centered with a bowl of goldfish banked round with carnations. At each place were baskets of candy, place cards, pink caps and balloons. The birthday cake, which was deco rated with five candles, was an at tractive feature, for the festivity honored Miss Jean's birthday. Jean is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Allegrani of 630 East Ankeny street. The young guests were accompanied by grownups, who also had a feast of dainties with Mrs. Richardson and Mrs. A. B. Society folk are responsible for numerous theater parties being arranged for the concert, and the advance seat sale indicates that the affair will be one of the features of this week's calendar. Wise will be hostess at a tea on Tuesday for Mrs. Koshland and Mrs. Sanford Wendel. Miss Ruth Lowengart will be hostess on Tuesday at a bridge tea to be given at her home on Portland Heights. Mrs. Clarence Samuel entertained on Wednesday for several attractive young girls. . The juniors at St. Helen's hall will entertain the seniors tomorrow at a uncheon at Waverley Country club. Three . tables will be arranged and each will be'eentered with blue flow ers and silver tulle to exemplify the class colors. Chaperones will be three of the teachers. Miss Grace Pierce. Miss Laura Eaton and Miss Caroline Paige. Miss Frances Spaulding is president of the juniors and Miss Evelyn Thatcher of the seniors. Munty. son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Munly, old-time resi dents of Portland, but now of Valdez, Alaska, several weeks a,go married an English girl, Lillian May Melhuish of Birkenhead, Cheshire, England.
