Tuesday night, December 28, at the
Multnomah hotel: Two fine orches
tras will play almost continuously in
the two big ballrooms on the mez
zanine floor. An experienced and
hospitable floor committee will be
made up of alumnf and students from
all the different colleges and univer
sities, so that every one will feel at
home.
The Woman's League of the Uni
versity of Oregon, assisted by a group
of representative men and women, are
arranging this happy annual event

Miss Norma Sparks and Lieutenant
Harry Craig will be married on Tues
day at 9 P. M. In Vancouver. Several,
Portland people will attend. Miss1
Ruth Johns of Salem will sing. Miss
Hanita Mayer and Mies Bertha Mas
ters wlU assist in the dining room.
Rev. Mr. Grimes will officiate. The
wedding will be of Interest to the
many friends of the couple.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. M. R. Sparks and the bride
rroom. while stationed now In New
York at Fort Montgomery, is a men
ber of a prominent Los Angeles fam
lly. and the couple will visit bis
parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Craigs on
their way east. They Intend to motor
and stop In California, in New Or
leans, Florida. Washington and other
places of interest before going to the
fort in February.
Mrs. Harold Dekum Gin will enter
tain tomororw for several of the
young matrons of society. Bridge will
be the diversion.
Mrs. L. M. Levlnson was hostess on
Wednesday at a smart bridge tea
held in the Tyrolean room of the Ben
eon hotel. Mrs. Milton F. Block of
San Francisco was honor guest. Mrs.
Block is an attractive young woman,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levlnson.
She cams to Portland for the Kosh
land-Rosenfeld wedding and left
Wednesday night for her home In
California.
Mies Mary Warrack entertained on
Friday for Miss Philena King. An
attractive tea was the event of the
day. Assisting the hostess were Miss

The formal dance at Portland
Heights club Friday was a smart and
festive affair. The children's party
will be December 27. There will be
games for the little people from 7:30
to 8:30, P. M. and dancing afterward.
Homer V. Carpenter is proving an
able president and the club functions
are popular.

Marjorie Noble have gone to Cali
fornia for the winter. ' During their
absence Mr. and Mrs. Clymer Noble
are occupying the family residence.
