It. E. Smith, Sissons, Cal. We believe
the consensus of opinion Is undoubtedly in
favor of Jose Capablanca being not only
the ex-champion's greatest rival but the
world's champion; notwithstanding that
many are insisting that Mr. Lasker had
no right or authority to transfer th
world's title to any one. There is ai
understanding that arrangements have
been perfected for a meeting between these
two masters in at Havana, Cuba
Havana having raised 920,000 lor the
match.

Walla Walla Officials Declare Co
operation Is Refused.
WALLA WALLA, Wash., Nov. 13.
(Special.) -Lack of co-operation on
the part of federal authorities is re
sponsible for the heavy influx of
liquor here, according to Chief of
Police Hussey today. Presence of
huge quantities of liquor here Armis
tice day was the cause of the street
row which resulted in orders for the
calling- in of the star given Special
Officer Robert Wallace, following: his
alleged assault of Henry Hoffi ex
service man, who was a . prisoner,
Wallace r..d not turned in his star
today officers said.
Chief Hussey declared that whisky
will be easily obtainable here until
the federal authorities co-operate
more closely with the police and
sheriffs force.
"We have repeatedly asked the fed
eral authorities to co-operate with us
and only once has a man been sent
here," said Hussey. "He came, and,
after looking over the situation, said
he would be back in three days. That
was a long time ago and we haven't
seen him eince."
Rowdyism in streets Armistice
night was due to youths of the city,
say the officers. Ex-service men are
not blamed. '.

YOU'R CHANCE TO LEARN WELDING.
Competent welders are more scarce
than any other craftsmen in the metal
trades. And It is admitted that the
the metal trades- are less liable than any
others to reductions in wages or scarcity
of work.
The trade is only ten years old and.
heretofore, there have been no places
giving any attention to instruction save
as a side line in order to sell equip
ment, or as a means of getting cheap
helpers1.
By our method of individual personal
instruction under experienced teachers,
