While domestic dif ficulties of other prominent the atrical couples are providing subject matter for gossip and plenty of work for the divorce courts Ruth St. Denis end Ted Shawn have just celebrated the sixth anniversary of their trial marriage, secure in the knowledge that no cloud has obscured the clear skies of their married life. This in spite of persistent rumors of a com ing divorce, which both of the noted dancers strongly denied.. When the couple were married six years ago it was announced that their matrimonial venture' was in the na ture of a trial marriage and that the contract would be renewed at the end of five years If agreea.ble to both parties. If not agreeable the conclu sion was obvious. Miss St. Denis and Mr. Shawn announced last year to their iriends that the first five jears of their married life together had been an unqualified success and that they were renewing the contract for another five years.
