Miss Dorothy Trapp of New "West
minster, cousin of the bride, acted as
bridesmaid, and was attired in a
charming frock of pale pink taffeta
with a flouncing pleated silk minon
and edgings of fine lace. Bhe wore
a large picture hat of pale pink geor
gette and carried a shower bouquet of
mauve eweetpeas. Kenneth Rose
brugh, brother of the bride, was best
man.
Mrs. RoSebrugh wore a becoming
gown of taupe satin with overdress ef
taupe georgette, witri silk embroidery
and heavily beaded with jet. Mrs.
Staub, mother of the groom, was at
tired in Pekin blue with aJainty lace
vest and touches of black.
Dr. and Mrs. Staub left on the mid
night boat for Vancouver Island,
where the honeymoon will be spent
motoring on the island highways,
after wJilch they will spend some
time at Mount Rainier. The bride
traveled in a smart suit of seal
brown broadcloth, with Which ehe
wore a handsome brown beaded and
embroidered georgette blouse. A chic
brown feather turban completed a
most becoming costume.

The golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mr. C. A, Lamar wa cele
brated July 28 by the George Wright Relief post and corps in the G. A. R.
rooms at the courthouse. Golden flowers and palms adorned the rooms and
to add special interest a Wedding was staged with Mrs. Lamar as the bride
and Mrs. Adah Davis as matron of honor. Dahrl and Jean Lamar, grand
daughters were flower girls. Helen Lamar, the oldest granddausiter, was
maid of honor and in the party were two sons. Paul and Walter and their
wives: also Mr. and Mrs. D. L. McKay. Rev. C. L. Cline of the G A. R
performed the ceremony, assisted by Rev. H. H. Griffls of the First Chris
tian church. Mr. Lamar is commander of George Wright post. J. D. Steven,
representing the post, gave the couple a handsome gold present. An at
tractive programme was given and refreshments served by the Women's
fieliat corps, of which Mxe. Ponnay la president.

A charming wedding Of the past
Week was that of Miss Mary SWails
and Harold F. Hanks, solemnised at
the home of the bride's parents. Mr.
and Mrs. E. W. Swails, at 2:30 P. M.
Sunday. The bride was beautifully
gowned in a wedding dress of white
crepe meteor and veil. She carried a
shower bouquet of bride's roses and
orchids. Miss Hazel Wieden was maid
of honor and was attired in a dainty
gown of royal blue organdy and car
ried a bouquet of pink sweet peas.
Rae D. Felt attended as best man and
Miss Eileen Sprague played the wed
ding march. Miss Dorothy Hanks,
Miss Ruby Merwin and Miss Eileen
Sprague assisted at the reception.
After their honeymoon the young cou
ple expect to reside in Portland. -
An event of interest was the wed
ding of Miss Virginia Lee Notting
ham and William H. Burton, which
took place on Wednesday evening,
August 4. at the home of the bride's
mother on Hancock street.

of embroidered white net over satin,

After an extended tstay in Newport

States and concluded her remarks by
