New ivory enameled bedroom sets for one or a
dozen bedrooms all to match all at the same big
economy. And it is economies on necessities which

It was not easy to get these sets, as anyone
familiar with the furniture market can guess. Fur
niture factories throughout the whole country are
so rushed that they cannot fill their orders. Lumber
is scarce. Mirrors are. almost unobtainable at any
price. Yet these very, real difficulties have been
surmounted and a full hundred bedroom sets are
subject to your order at seventy-four dollars less
than the conservative market rate.
Decorated With Roses
"City of Roses bedroom set" is the name our decorator
has given it. The roses are in relief and especially realistic
in design. They are a modification of the wreaths that
Queen Marie Antoinette of France loved so well the roses
so often-used in Louis XVI furniture. The lovely ivory
tones blend beautifully with cretonne curtains wicker
chairs and rag rugs. Ivory sets like these make a room
look sunshiny and cheery. A hotel furnished with, ivory
enamel would be so uncommonly attractive that its fame
would spread far and wide.
The Dresser at $39
is extra large, measuring' fully 42 inches wide. It has a
generous 24x30-inch mirror even though mirrors are as
scarce as "hen's teeth." It has five 'drawers,, the three
lower ones being particularly capacious. Some homes may
not require the additional drawer space of the chiffonier,
in which case the three pieces remaining in the set would
be $101.50. Or perhaps the desk and chair might be sub
stituted for the chiffonier, bringing' the total up to $130.75
for five pieces.
The Chiffonier at $29.50
Many inexpensive chiffoniers are only 24x30 inches wide.
This one is fully 36 inches. There are three top drawers
another unusuality and three larger lower drawers.
The Toilet Table at $33
has three convenient drawers for milady's creams, powders
and perfumes. The table measures 36 inches wide. The
triple mirrors are full length and there is nothing like a
triple mirror to let one see oneself as one really is.
The Bed at $29.50
is full double-bed size. It is gracefully shaped with turned
posts and has charming rose decorations in relief. Extraor
