cial.) The Chehalls cannery of the
Lewis County Canning association
will continue to be operated as an
independent organization as originally
planned, according to action taken
here yesterday. Dan W. Bush, who
has been at the head of the local
organization since it was founded in
1915, has worked out a plan whereby
a number of the leading business
men of this city have associated them
selves with him in the project, and
additional capital will be provided to
give it ample financial backing.

be granted Bolivia for the purpose of
completing this link. It was ex
plained that the gauge was the same
as that of the Argentine lines and an
arrangement by which Bolivia could
use Argentine rolling stock was sug
gested." Pepper Plays Big Part.
By a coincidence Mr. Pepper, who
made the Pan-American railway re
port under President Roosevelt, was
a member of the group committee on
Bolivia. He also was railway adviser
to the committee on transportation.
This committee adopted a resolution
offered by Martinex Vargas of Bolivia,
for calling a Pan-American railway
conference further to consider the
subject of railway operation, inter
change of traffic, standardization of
rstcs and financing. This resolution,
as amended by the committee on res
olutions and adopted by the recent
conference, provided for referring the
calling of such a meeting of Pan
American representatives to the Inter
American high commission. Just
when the trans-hemisphere railroad
conference will-be called has not yet
been determined.
.Argentina's keen interest in devel
oping the Pan-American trunk line
project was indicated by Dr. Ricardo
C. Aldao. a member of the Argentine ,
financial mission, not only at tne con
ference in Washington but also in his

REVOLVER CACHE FOUND
Aberdeen Police Uncover Weapons

ABERDEEN', Wash., Feb. 14. (Spe
cial.) A unique find was made by
the police in a raid on a home in
South Aberdeen, the owners of which
have not been located. Two revolvers
were discovered bolstered at the bot
tom of a kitchen chair. The guns were
of .32 and .33 caliber. Jn the same
house was a washboiler atlll and
about five gallons of moonshine.
The discovery of the revolvers fol
lowed a search by the police after
finding a large amount of revolver
ammunition. The two revolvers had
been slipped Into wire loops on the
bottom of the chair and were loaded

Redding Cal., state that Dr. Warren
L. Cameron, formerly a practicing
physician in Astoria, had been ar
rested in Redding on a charge of
