sary to requisition the flour required. Bid

Array and Navy requirement, and where
award are made to milla on such bid
such awarda will be applied aa a part of
th 80 per cent required by the Food Ad
ministration. Notice will be ent to each
mill at leaat two weeka In advance of the
percentages of their output, which the Food
Administration desires to obtain from them
for a subsequent period of 30 day.
"This measure la not taken with a view
to diminishing supplies to the market, but
to secure a better and more regular flow of
commodities and to prevent congeationa and

transportation with respect to Army, Navy

proposed control of corporate financing by

States Eteel was unloaded In very large
blocks at an extreme recession of 2 points.
while other Issues of that group reached 1

death of their son Leonard at
Camp Taliaferro, Fort Worth, Tex., of
measles, followed by pneumonia. Young;
Jacobs was a former prominent Cowlitz
County athlete, and enlisted In the
Army with two of his mothers when
this country fjrst declared war. Since
then a fourth brother has enlisted.
Jacobs is the third Cowlitz County 7
youth to die at a training; camp. The

Pendleton School May Sell Stamps.
PENDLETON, Or.. Jan. 12. (Spe-.
cial.) Thrift stamps probably will be
sold in Pendleton High School. It was
pointed out at a meeting; of the fac
ulty that the savings certificates must
be placed within easy reach of the
young; people to be called to their at
tention. The suggestion was made
that the school war committee handle
the stamp sale. The plan has the ap- 1
proval of Leon Cohen, director of the
thrdft stamp campaign for ths Eastern
Oregon district.
