Philomath is making prepara tion for her Spring City "clean-up" which has been delayed by the rainy season. Various paper and can cam paigns have been inaugurated which will dispose of all waste paper and un sightly can and Junk piles. Philomath College is already conducting ber cam paign on college grounds. A movement is also on foot to remove and prevent the posting of unsightly bills and post ers on public property. Depot Grounds to Be Parked. HOQUTAM. Wash., May 13. (Spe cial.) The Northern Pacific Railway Company, charged with Improvements in the local railway yards, has an nounced that the grounds of the Hoqulam Union Passenger Station will be parked and paved to mnke them as attractive as any along the company's line. - Work Is to be started, it is understood, as soon us preliminary ar rangements can be made and the con tract let. The specifications call for paving or parking all of the ground on the city side of the depot and for park ing & block of land owned by the com pany and lying utween the station and the business district of the city. r
