One of the charming affairs of the past week was the reception given by Mr. and Mrs. S A. Rosenkrans in their Irvlngton home Monday, in honor of the 26th anniversary of their marriage. More than 100 friends called to con gratulate them. The house was deco rated with baskets and standards filled with flowers and greens, the keynote of the color scheme being pink and white. A stringed orchestra furnished music throughout the evening and Otto Wedemeyer sang in a delightful manner several songs, among them "Silver Threads Among the Gold" and "Love'e Old Sweet Song.- Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Carlton received with the hosts. Mrs. Rosenkrans wore a gown of blue satin with trimmings of lace and silver. Mrs. Carlton wore pale pink erepe de chine. Both carried bouquets of sweet peas. Suspended above Miss Hyde's head was a huge white beli. which was covered with hearts and cupids, and when she pulled the streamer, the bell w raised, disclosing tiny portraits 'of the couple, forming the clapper of the bell. Sumner Relief Corps No. 21 cele brated Washington's birthday Saturday evening. The speakers were Mrs, Wilder, Mrs. Gardner, Mrs. LaFolette, of the corps; Comrades Pratt. Mc Gowan. Stephens, Chambers, Kerr, Past Department Commander Fargo, of Sum ner Post, and Comrade Evans, of Lin coln Garfield Post. Mr. and Mrs. Jess C. Hess celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary Sat urday evening at their home in Beau mont. Four tables of 500 were played, prizes being awarded to Mrs. C. V. Morris and P. E.
