Work preliminary to the con struction of the f TeO.oOO addition to the Hawley Pulp dc Paper Company will begin next week and will be rushed at the highest possible speed. Included in the list of buildings to be razed is the old municipal pumping: and filtration plant, used before the completion of the South Fork water project. The office building; of the Hawley mill will be moved across the street to the present site of the Oregon City Laundry. Within the next two years, Mr. Hawley. Jr., said, the company would erect a larger and fireproof of fice building. The present building; waa reconstructed and refinished throughout only last Summer.
