Light & Power Com pany to discontinue car service on the Burnside line from Fifth street to Washington street and the line on Maryland avenue from Shaver street to Prescott street will be before the City Council Wednesday for final set tlement. The company declares tha lines are unprofitable and are not pat ronized. The Burnside-street line can be elim inated, it is ea.id, without increasing any patron's walk more than two cr three blocks.
