When Georitc Cohan revived the old
fashioned Cakewalk in his "Hello,
Broadway. ' la."t - season. everyone
looked aghast. The clever George sel
dom misses a guess, and 'so cakewalks
have crept gradually into stage dan-
cinif. beveral vaudeville favorites have
Included them in their dance numbers
this season. It remained to Ned Way
burn to introduce the Cakewalk on a
most e'ub rate scale in his new 'Tc wn
Topics."
A steamboat is seen coming down
the river. Along the levee the negroes
gather and dance and sing. Gradually
the Cakewalk is Introduced. Then the
boat lands at the dock and other sing
ers and dancers appear to take part
in the festivities. Prominent among
the last are Manna Zuzza and her cot
ton girls, who give an Interpretation
of the old-time dance with much swing
