Girl riders, who are equally at home on horseback, vie with the men in providing thrills for the thousands of spectators who fill the big arena at each recurring Roundup. This picture shows a typical "cowgirl" astride an out law horse, who is doing his best to unseat his rider. Such plunging, untamed steeds will be seen in their mad attempts to free them selves from the restraints of bit and bridle at this year s Roundup, September 23-25. No contests attract more attention than the rivalry of girl riders, who strive for the highest -honors in riding wild horses, and their daring is not a whit less than that displayed by the cowboys -who gather -each Fall to match their skill in frontier sports..
