BREAKERS,-Wash., Aug. 28. (Spe
cial.) Owing to the lack of a tennis
tournament the Breakers has had
short season, and probably will close
September 1. The golf links have been
well patronized this year, and the
patrons of the hotel have enjoyed fish
ing trips,, picnics to Shoalwater Bay
and the Rocks, as well as motor trips
to the Lifesaving Station and many
other points of interest. Mra Isam
White's attractive home, which has
been opened this year for the first
time in many seasons, has added to
the gala atmosphere of the Breakera
as It adjoins the big hotel.
Mra White and ber guesta, Mrs.
Fechheimer, Mra La Frank and Miss
Edith Nanz, will accompany Mra White
to town Wednesday. Mrs. White and
Miss Nanz will leave shortly for a so
journ In California, remaining indefi
