Official Ceremony.
Once ajrain the opening of the Co
lumbia River Highway has been post
poned, but Hoadmaster Yeon announces
that it will be opened next Sunday
unless rain again interferes. For six
weeTis Mr. Yeon has been announcing
the opening only to have the rain stop
the plans.
The Oregon Society of Engineers,
however, will make the trip, leaving
Portland at 7:30 this morning for
Horsetail Falls. They will traverse 10
mile of the road and return tonight.
