NOT only does Oregon outdo the Old World in the number and variety of major scenic features that are rapidly making her. in the eyes of ; all nations, a worthy rival of Alpine Switzerland at its best. but throughout her thousand mountain valleys and canyons, scattered with won derful prodigality, are numberless tinier gems of scenery. There is scarce a township in the fringes of Oregon's western mountains that does not boast its local bit of scenery "stamped with the tinier dies" and marvelously delicate in its beauty.
