Dear FrJrnds: We U had circus last Mk and
what a fine time ure did have. Jack was a clown
dress-! as a wild man of Borneo, and scared little Bis
ter Elizabeth, but she soon got used to his antics and
laughed as well as the rest ot the crowd. We had the
cutest little trained doa you ever saw. and I know
our doK Spunk" would have been Jealous if he could
have seen the many levcr stunts they did." If you will
cut the clown pollceman"s trousers on the dotted lines
you can make him rtde the donkey. This clown offered
60 pins to the one who"d ride his donkey and though
quite a few tried thev were all thrown. And whom do
ou ruess this down was? Why none other than Willie
vv'iliie Simpson! Of course, you remember him. We
charged 25 pins admission, and really I don't believe we
have finished counting them yet. we took in so many.
Do you ever play circus? You'd never guess what I did
in the show I know. Well. I had a ring of my own
sod now don't tell I was the one who put the dogs
through their stunts! I am showing you the costume I
wore, also two of the dogs. I did want to have "Spunk."

the rest of the dog, so we had to leave him out. 1
could hear him howling while I put the other dogs
