Though the Flelschners will stay at the beach during the season, they expect t- make "flying" trips to town, and Jlr. Fleischner will frequently be a week-end visitor at tha beach. Due to the heavy downfall of rain at North Beach last week out-of-door festivities could not be enjoyed, but the rain came Just in time for the Summer visitor who expects to begin his vacation with the first days jf July, or he would have found a dry beach, with little promise of vegetables and other things desirable at the coast. Farmers were almost at the point of despair. Now, with the cessation of rain and the reappearance of the sun, no place will be more desirable for the Fourth Of July, aa well as the remainder of the mcnth. than Long Beach, Seaview, Ocean Park and the Breakers. Aa yet beach visitors are arriving slowly, but Judging by the heavy or ders sent ahead to stores and express men, this week will see an immigration of, folk greater than that for the same period for several years back. All along the beach from the Break ers Hotel to the extremity of Seaview cottages are daily "opening their eyes." Storm doors are disappearing, window are opening, flags are hoisted in nearly every yard or North Beach and the throngs that gather to meet the trains are increasing constantly. At Long Beach the pleasure places are being opened and the proprietors smile rappily and nod knowingly when asked their opinion, of the prospects of this season. Backing up the store men and concessionaires, the hotel owners are another Joyful set Just now, aa streams of lettors are pouring in every day reserving room and board for weeks ahead. All the hotels on the beach ar practically ready to re ceive Summer boarders. At the Breakers the week Just passed was a decidedly busy one for a bevy of Young Women's Christian Associa tion girls from .schools, colleges and the cities, who gathered about the cor ridors for ten days.
