That ha will meet Hackenschnil.il eventually Is virtually certain, and the men would undoubtedly be matched now If It were not for the demands being made by Jack Curie jr. who la handling the for tunes of Mark. Curley not only wants to handle Hackenschmidt. but be Is also endeavoring to dictate who ehall atace tha match. Thla Is not pleasing Ktch. who refuses to wrestle under Coney's, auspices. Seattle. rnokane and either Tacoma or Vancou ver. R. C will be the cities In which the fife matches will take place. Ona f the towna will iret a preliminary match and the best one will get the big matrh between Gotch and Hacken schmidt. Gorham figures Portland as a strong rontender for the Gotch-Harken-chmldt bout for the reason that this rlty ha nver been the scene of a big. first class match between champions of the caliber of Frank lch. The Gor li am plan Is to hara Qotch meet all of tha big fellows, or to have Hacken ichmldl meet them, and the final bout tf tha series will be staged between the twt principal figures In the wrest ling arena of today. Portland fans would gladly welcome B chance to see Frank Gotch In a flrst rlasa match. Gotch has appeared here In an exhibition affair, but at that lime he was not pitted against any man who rould be styled In his class, and the ana would like to see the big cham pion In a match where ha would be forced to extend himself, if Joe Gor Um'i plan goes through Portland men will have their wish gratified.
