Mrs. McMath. cbclrman of the publicity committee of the Mothers Congress, addressed the Mrntavllla circle Friday, In which she exptalred the scope-and purpose of this rem tg convention. Mrs. McMath said that the convention would be along the same lines of the conventions held In Eastern cities and would continue three or four days. All the circles of the Mothers' Congress will take part and make exhibits of children's garments Mcntavllla Circle was aa-agned to exhibit inf-nts wear, which ssslgnment waa ao cepiea. Mrs. McMath announced that al ready many of the other circles had al ready been assigned work, and that the Indications were that every circle In the eta tc would be represented. Thla action was the result of a conference of the sewer committees from these districts yerterday. J. H. Nolta presided. The City Engineer Informed the North Alblna represented ves that to reach the W illam- Ml River a cut to feet deep would be nrcraemry under W lllamette boulevard, and In order to verify or diaprove thla statement a special engineer will be em ployed.
