For instance, the Ulster Bluster ! about armed resistance to Home Kule ' got a deadly blow through the special . rnrrxnnnitrllt of the Dally Mall re- vnhmt that all stories about the pur- ' chase of arms on the Continent were fabrications. Home Rule Sl-rna Multlpjrl. , The signs Indeed multiply U around that Home Rule is Inevitable and that ; the chief business of the Tones win '. be to arrange such terms as will se cure equality and Justice to the pro- . tesiant minority. No such guarantees are necessary as a matter of fact, but Irish leaders are to accept any proposal In their desire to reconcile all of the Irishmen and . berln Home Rule with a united na tional effort to rebuild th Irish nation. Tre most remarkable Incident of the week was the letter of Lord Courtney. forn'er deputy, speaker of the House of Commons and one of the moat im- 5 portar.t of the Liberals who split with W. K. Gladstone on Home nuie. Courtney now accepts Home Rule as near at hand and only stipulates that proportional representation, his favor ite doctrine for marry years, should be atren an experiment In Ireland. Redmond speaking at a great ban- quet In Dublin riven to celebrate the success of his mtaslon In America, pave a cordial reception to this suggestion. Home Rule Is Foremost. It Is remarkable, also that without special pressure by the Irish party or any large change of views, the Liberal and Irlrh leaders raving had only few communications for weeks, every body accepts the proposal that the Home Rule bill be made the first bust' rsa of the session of Parliament next year. The Tories attempted to make a dl erslon and trouble by suggesting that such a priority of Home Rule, over . tlie Welsh church dls-establlshmeot - measure might produce a revolt of the Welshmen, but the Welshmen repudl ate nri report. in a couple or weeks from now Red' mond and the Liberal leadera , will certainly be In consultation In refer ence to the details of the new Home Rule bill. The negotiations are not without difficulties, especially in refer. ence to the new financial arrangements between the two countries, but with good will and good sense on both sides and the- immense bond of the common campalsrn asalnst the House of Lords, there Is little doubt that thi two sides will Hod a satisfactory com' promise. Feud Is Quiet Now. The feud among the Tories has re-hd a somnolent stage. Apparent ly Balfour la insisting on the immedi ate acceptance of the policy of refer- enaum ana ino protectionists are agreeing, but on the condition of re garding the whole question as .an . academic and open tilt, the Tories get mio power again wnea it can be quiet ly dropped out. Evidently the Tories are dlaornn. Ized and divided and do not show any slrn of putting up any big fight on nip LArq a veto. The Government will find the pn amrie or me Din promising a reform ' tne uouse or Lords a difficulty with in own party and a weapon in thi hands of the oppnaltlon. but here again the gigantic Importance of the House of Lords Issue will enforce discipline. All sections of the coalition and even the Laborltes may agree to allow the I'reamoie to pass as a Pious onlnlon The creation of new peers to swamn the Lords la receding every hour to .r mwr remote aistance. i nave just returned from a brief 'i in jreiand. Woman s Power Over Man Woman's most glorious endowment is the power to awaken and hold the pure and honest love of a worthy man. When she loses it and still loves on, no one in the wide world can know the heart agony she endures. The woman who suffers from weak ness and derangement of her special womanly or ganism soon loses the power to sway the heart of a man. Her general health suffers and she loses her good looks, her attractiveness, her amiability and her power and prestige as a woman. Dr. R.V. Pierce, of Buffalo, N.Y., with the assistance of his staff of able physioians, bas prescribed for and cured many thousands of women. He has devised a successful remedy for woman's ail ments. , It is known as Dr. Pierce's Favorite Prescription. It is a positive specific for the weaknesses and disorders peculiar to women.
