Preparations in All Christian Houses of Worship Are Unusually Elaborate and Include Some Striking Feature
Numbers What Various Churches Will Offer. .
This Is Kaster day, find the occasion
is not only noted for rnnart hats, new
clothes and Easter lilies, but Easter
mus-'ic at the churches and the supply in
Portland will be found varied and good
enough to suit all tastes. Xaturally the

neer residents of this part of Oregon, recently celebrated his eighty
ninth birthday., and following it a fw days ago was held at the home'
of his daughter, Mrs. J. R. Tozer, Laurel street, Ashland, a reunion of
his children, ten in all, an event thai had not occurred before in 30
years. The following were present: James R. Neil, county judge of
Jackson County, aged 69 years, who has one son; William L. Nell-, of
rouglas County, Oregon, aged 66 years, who has four daughters and
one son; Sarah Neil Chapman, wife of Daniel Chapman, aged 64. who
is the mother of eight children, residor.ee Ashland: Leander A. Neil, of
Ashland, aged 62 years, who has three sons and two daughters: Rob
ert P. Neil, aged. 60, a resident of Ashland, who has two sons: Louisa
Nell Tozer, wife of J. R. Tozer of Ashland, aged 57 years; Virginia
Neil Alford, wife of R. A. Alford, of Klamath Falls, aged 54 years, who
has two sons; Mary Nell Dean, wife of "W. E. Dean, of Grants Pass,

tickets to the banquet which will open
the convention Tuesday eveninR at the
Meier & Frank Company's store.
The Baptists are running: second with
a total of 161. and the others in the
following order: Congrregrationalists,
126; Episcopalians, 84; Presbyterians,
55; United Presbyterians, 23; Evan
gelical, 20.
In all, 650 tickets have been disposed
of and paid for and a hundred or more

ago the old Milwaukie Club, owned
by Isaac Gratton, was opened under
Zimmerniann's direction, after having
been closed about three years.
This afternoon Attorney Fred J.
Meindl. of Portland, brought suit
against Zimmermann, representing tli
claims of Blumauer & Hock, who sold
Zimmermann liquors to the value of
$202.70, of which only $8.. 10 has been
paidT- and the Mount Hood Brewing
Company, who advanced Zlmmermann
$53.35 in money and sold him mer
chandise valued at $13.50.
