THE SUNDAY OREGONIAN, PORTLAND, JANUARY 23, 1910. LIQUOR ISSUE IF! IDAHO RUMORED GOraRVOIt BRADY TO BECOME PROHIBITIONIST. Campaign Likely to Be Made on State-Wide Plank, Is Report From Political "Workers. SPOKANE. Wash., Jan. 22. (Spe cial.) The liquor question bids fail to be an Important, feature of the gub ernatorial contest on the Idaho Re publican ticket. A report from Boise says Governor Brady will come out for state-wide prohibition.. Some of the Governor's supporters in Nez Perce County, Idaho, bave leanings in that direction and the Boise dispatch was commented upon and the suggestion made that B. F. O'Nell of Wallace, Brady's chief rival, may be aligned with the antt-prohibltlonists. Governor Brady, however, has taken exception, through his secretary, Clarence C. Dietrich, to this proposition. Mr. Dietrich, who arrived at Lewis ton yesterday on a tour of the north, presumably In the Interest of the Gov ernor's candidacy for re-election, says Governor Brady has made no state ment which can be construed Into an intention to boost for state-wide prohi bition. If the Governor does not stand for the state-wide plank he may lose local Prohibitionist support to Paul Clagstone, whose political emissaries are now in Lewlston In consultation with P, E. Stookey and other Prohibi tionists. Condemned Man Not Rebel. PIGA, Russia, Jan. 22. The man con demned to death by a court-martial here yesterday was Jan Poured, an alleged murderer, and not as at first reported. Jan Pouren, the revolutionist, who es caped to the United States some years ago. HOUSEHOLD NEEDS frkm I CHURCHLEY BROS., wood and coal daa, lers. office and yard lata aad Marshall. Phones Main 831.
