tlhe Iraterestirag Exhibit
of the "Sealy" Mattresses
Commencing Tomorrow Ending Wednesday
One-third of our life is. spent in bed, and it is during this
period that our storage cells are recharged to drive the
human machine. Why then, should not the mattress, most
essential to rest, be given first consideration? There is no
article of so much use and so little understood as the mat
tress. To a great majority of people a mattress is just a
mattress good or bad, according to the price paid, and
regardless of the materials used.
"Sealy" Mattresses demand consideration.
They have never been extensively advertised and' yet
many thousands of them have been sold.
. Merit alone has made the enormous sale possible.
The non-tufted mattress was invented by Daniel Haynes,
a Texan, long associated with the cotton ginning industry.
He made many experiments and finally succeeded in pro
ducing a resilient bat that would stay together without
tufts or binding, also a round-cornered tick with no raised
seams for lodgment of dust or germs. He began the man
ufacture of the mattress in the little town of Sealy, Texas,
twenty-seven years ago. The popularity and demand con
tinued until today it is sold regularly by over 800 dealers
in the United States, and in many foreign countries.
Tomorrow we commence a special exhibit of the "Sealy."
Its object will be to show how the "Sealy" Mattress is
made, what enters into ats making arid also how pther
mattresses are made and their materials.
"Whether you contemplate buying a mattress or not, we
know you will be interested in the "Sealy." Exhibit will
be on first floor.
