pleted the construction of full-slsed aero

Graham Bell, president of the National
Kxperimcnt Association, has notified
Cortlandt Field Bishop, president of the
Aero Club of America, to send repre
sentatives of the. club to Nova Scotia to
make records of aeroplane flights that are
to be attempted there by members of the
association during the next ten days.
Official notice has been received at the
Aero Club that G. I. Dumbaugh, an aero
naut of Indianapolis, will start from Los
Angeles Sunday. If the weather Is favor
able, to win the Lahra cup now held by
Captain Charles Lx-Forest Chandler, of
the United States signal corps. It la his
Intention to find an easterly current at
a high altitude and sail over the Rocky
Mountains.

SAYS ART DEALERS CHEAT
Austrian Nobleman Denounces Ital
ian Courts for Aiding The-m.
ROME. March 6. (Special.) Count
Andrassy, the Austrian nobleman, sum
moned a Florence dealer In antiquities
before the Italian courts recenUy, alleg
ing that the sale of a painting purport
ing to be the work of Raphael should ba
quashed, as the picture Is a counterfeit.
The court decided in the dealer's favor,
becsuse the picture was smuggled out of
the city.
Andrassy, falling to get Justice from
the courts, has now denounced the dealer
In the newspapers, stating he had been
swindled out of $60,000. The dealer's
lawyers say only $12,000 was paid for the
painting and no warranty given with It.
although documents to prove that
Raphael had painted It were pasted on
the back of the picture. These docu
ments were shown to the Judge on the
hearing of the case, but he did not read
them.
Thus it appears that, according to
Italian law, a dealer is privileged to
swindle a customer If the work of art U
smuggled out of the country, ven wilh
the dealer's connivance and aid.

Louisa J. Jones, aged 38 years, the

Is an Invalid and travels extensively
as had Mrs. Jones. When they were not
traveling together, remittances to Mrs.
Jones from her husband were made
through E. W. S. Johnston, an attorney
here. At Mr. Johnston's office today
it was said that, while the firm had
been advised of Mrs. Jones' death In
Ban Francisco, they were unable to as
sign any reason for her act.
Mr. Jones had been in Washington
recently, it was said, but his present
location In unknown. Mrs. Jones was
a Connecticut woman.

country, hoping to get Into touch with
his partisans In Venezuela from Nicaragua.
