Hie Prohibition party and tho W. O.
T. V. Plans are already on foot to
Inaugurate a vigorous campaign to place
Oregon In line with other progressive
Mates in the matter of the abolition of
the manufacture and sale of Intoxicating
lrlnks. These organizations will of course
preserve their Independence of special
work but In this campaign for state
prohibition will be a unit and If the
energy and care with which the plans
are being laid is any prophecy i of suc
cess the work of the moral reformers will
result In accord with their highest hopes.
Calls and offers of assistance are coming
all over the state for the latest news
from the committees who have this
matter In charge, and the leaders feel
confident.
L0dobs Mat Consolidate. A move
ment has been started In North East
S.de to consolidate the three Oddfellows
lodges Industrial, Harmony and Wood-
lawn Into one strong lodge, and then
erect an Oddfellows temple In that por
tion of the city. Committees of three
members each have been appointed from
Industrial and Harmony, which meet In
Alblna, and these committees will attend
the meeting of Woodlawn Lodge the
coming week and set before the members
the consolidation plan. The two former
lodges havo heartily approved the con
solidation plan, and It only remains to
secure the approval of Woodlawn to
make it an assured success. L'nion of
the three lodges would make one large
and strong one with over 3CW members,
able to erect a temple similar to the
one Just finished in East Portland.
Warehoi'sb or Factobt Sites on
Trackage. We are making a specialty
of warehouse and factory sites, and have
some of the best buys in the city on the
different lines. We particularly urge, as
bargains, the following:
A tine corner on Fifteenth street, with
spur In; only J1S.00O.
A quarter block on Fifteenth street,
with trackage facilities at $25,000; old
houses thereon bringing in $110 pur month
rental.
Also a half block. 100x200 feet, on Fif
teenth street, with trackage facilities,
for J-'cVOuO. Present dwellings on this
half block bring in a rental of about
fcJ pr mnnth. The best half block
in the city for the money.
Another half block, vacant, at $35,000.
has good trackage facilities, and is the
best buy in unimproved property that is
to be had.
York-street property, half block. 100x300,
with trackage facilities, only J1S.S0O. This
Is a splendid buy. Manufacturers or
warehouse men will do well to buy any
of these, or Investors wanting money put
out cot:ld buy and build on long time
lease for rtsponsible tenants.
Thirteenth-street property We have
several quarter blocks and half blocks
on Thirteenth street, with trackage In,
at the lowest prices to be had.
Oregon Electric warehouse sites We
have several fine sites for factories, wood
yards or warehouses on Water and Front
streets, with trackage facilities.
Also several quarter blocks on the East
Side on the O. R. & X. track.
See us If you wish good investments in
warehouse properties.
