WOMAN GRANTED DIVORCE
R. Ij. Ttcer Does Xot Prove Conten
tion Against Wife.
Delia Ticer and R. L. Ttcer each
fought for a divorce from the other all
day yesterday In Circuit Judge Mor
row's courtroom. Mrs. Tlcer was the
original seeker for application of the
Judicial knife to tha troublesome mat
rimonial knot. But Tlcer was in the
contest in earnest. He sought to pre
vent Mrs. Tlcer from getting a decree
but only that he might receive the
coveted document. Mrs. Tlcer finally
won.
Mrs. Tlcer said he abused and slapped
her with great frequency during the
li years of their married life. Ticer
retaliated that his wife was fond of
other men, and named Jap Anson, of
Oklahoma, and Gammons Atchison, of
Oregon City, as two of her admirers.
After much testimony had been given
In corroboration of the evidence pre
sented Friday by the couple. Judge
Morrow decided that the woman was
the offended party. He said the Charges
against Mrs. Ticer were totally un
proved. It was shown that Tlcer had
furnished a large part of the money
with which to build the family home In
Portland. But since the title was In
the wife's name, the court held that he
could not very well lay claim to any
part of the property. Mrs. Tlcer was
represented by Attorney John F.
Logan and Tlcer by Attorney Walter
Hayes.
