Paris and London have decided, New York has criticised and adopted.
The new fashions are absolutely defined all doubts are dispelled. The
accompanying: picture "The American- Girl for 1908" drawn by the
fashion expert of the Dry Goods Economist, shows the cardinal points
of the leading: tailored suit and its accessories, many of which are at
present shown in Portland only by Lipman, Wolfe & Company.
The Japanese or Butterfly Suit
This is the leading suit fashion for the season. It is shown in varied effects, made of tha new wool PanajaH; '
also shadow stripe serges and panamas. The leading shades are Seville brown, navy, Copenhagen blue, tans and
greens. The skirt not shown in the picture is pleated and has fold trimmings. Prices $35 to $75.
The " Merry Widow" Hat as Illustrated
This is the correctly new "Merry Widow" Hat first shown exclusively by Lipman, Wolfe & Co. Made of

The Correct New -"Gibson" 'Stock Collar
See the illustration of the correct collar, which has been named "The Gibson Stock." It has bolting cloth foun
dation, Irish and Valenciennes lace ornamentation. The Gibson Stock will meet with the favor of women who
desire to follow the style idea of high collars, but who object to the stiffness of the starched linen collar.
The Veil and the Cardcase
The new Veil has the spider-web mesh, with beauty spots of large chenille or velvet dots. 1 yards are re
