The ex aminations were successful throughout, and every applicant who started the tests worked through to the finish. The state teachers' examinations are a great deal harder than the county ex aminations, but the state certificate Is far more valuable to the teacher than the county diploma. The holder of a state certificate Is Riven the right to hold a first-class position anywhere In the state, without taking the county examinations.
