She Has aiastcrcd the Art of Mnkin; Women Beautiful. When Madame Tully was In Portland a number of years ago she received the J recognition of the members of some of uie most prominent local xamiues. was on the direct appeal of her old customers that she was Induced to return to Port land during the time when Portland women generally are giving much seri ous thought to the art of being beautiful. Oregon's climatic conditions favor good complexions generally, and yet the best of nature's handiwork here as elsewhere In nature's re'alms calls for tho finishing stroke of the master's touch. The skill of the professional dermatolo gist accomplishes wonders. Effects In art are studied from the viewpoint of the eye that reaches for tho effect. Stage people understand this art from the viewpoint of the audience before them. The society woman, however, docs not follow methods of "makeup" safely Indulged In by tho profession. The technique of the profes sion of making women beautiful here calls for the touch of the real artist. It Is not the transient methods of the stage that the skilled dermatologist follows, but the higher art of stimulating the healthy de velopment of the facial muscles and skin. Madame '-Tully has thoroughly mastered this art. Madame Tully will make her headquar ters at the Hotel Portland while she Is in the city. Appointments can be made with her at the hotel at any time.
